Sili Bibs Basics
What are Sili Bibs made of?
The bib bucket is made from soft, low-tox food-grade silicone that is BPA-free, with sleeves lined in polyurethane laminate (PUL) - a lightweight, waterproof material that provides extra protection against spills and keeps little arms and clothes dry. PUL is durable, easy to wipe clean, and safe for curious little eaters.
Fire & Heat Safety: Both the silicone and PUL sleeves are not suitable for exposure to open flames or hot surfaces. Always keep bibs away from stoves, ovens, and other sources of heat.
What size bib should I get?
Our bibs are perfect for babies starting solids (around 6 months+) up to toddlers (around 18 months). The adjustable neck strap grows with them!
We also offer two sizes to make sure you get the best fit and coverage as they grow.

Do they really catch all the food?
Let’s be honest - no bib can make mealtime completely mess-free. But Sili Bibs are part smock, part bucket, so they catch way more drips, crumbs, and spills than going without.
What is the Sili Bibs tableware range made of?
Our tableware pairs food-grade stainless steel with made-to-measure silicone sleeves. Stainless steel is naturally hygienic, super durable, and doesn’t leach chemicals - making it much safer for babies than plastic or pure silicone plates and bowls. The silicone sleeves give a non-slip grip, protect surfaces, and add a pop of colour, so mealtime is safer, cleaner, and a little more fun.
Why choose stainless steel over silicone or plastic for baby food?
Stainless steel is naturally hygienic, ultra durable, and won’t warp, stain, or hold odours like plastic or pure silicone can. It’s the safest and most long-lasting option for your baby’s mealtime - plus it looks sleek and modern on your table.

Flat, rolled in its travel bag or tucked in a drawer - the silicone is super flexible. Mess-free storage, almost.

Cleaning & Care
How do I clean my Sili Bib?
Depending on the messiness of the meal, usually a quick wipe with a baby wipe or wet cloth does the trick. For a deeper clean, pop it on the top shelf of the dishwasher. Squeeze out any excess water and hang to dry - somewhere sunny or with good airflow works best. Easy as pie - well, easier than cleaning pie off your floor.
Hot tip: After squeezing out excess water, turn the sleeves inside out before hanging to dry for faster drying time. Don’t worry if a little water drips off - just hang it somewhere it can air freely.
For stubborn spots (like red sauce spaghetti), a quick soak or a mild, soapy hand wash usually helps - best to tackle any stains as soon as possible.
Travel bag: Wash in a delicates bag on a gentle cycle in the washing machine.
Do Sili Bibs stain?
Like any bib, a Sili Bib can get a little colourful - think red sauce spaghetti or curry adventures. Most foods wipe away easily with a quick rinse and soaping or after a dishwasher visit. Even if a stubborn spot lingers, it’s way easier to clean the bib than your little one’s outfit … so we call that a win!
Can I wash my Sili Bib in the washing machine?
Machine washing isn’t part of our care instructions, as it may shorten the life of your bib. However, some parents tell us they occasionally pop their bibs into a delicates bag on a cold, gentle machine cycle for a little refresh.
Is the Sili Bibs tableware collection dishwasher safe?
Yes! Both the stainless steel and silicone sleeves from our plates and bowls are dishwasher safe, making clean-up a breeze.
Some silicone parts in our range - like plate dividers, lunchbox dividers, and cup straws - come into direct contact with food or drink. For these, we recommend handwashing in warm water with mild detergent to keep them fresh and prevent any lingering scents. Silicone can sometimes absorb the smell of dishwasher tablets, which is why handwashing is best for these for long-term freshness.
If a silicone item does go through the dishwasher and picks up a scent, you can refresh it by placing it in the oven at 120°C for 1 hour - voilà, good as new!
Is the Sili Bibs tableware collection microwave safe?
No. Products in our tableware range are made out of stainless steel, which means they must not be used in the microwave. They are, however, dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.

Where are Sili Bibs made?
Sili Bibs are designed in Sydney, Australia (on Gadigal Country, the land of the Eora Nation) by two parents who know a thing or two about messy mealtimes.
They’re proudly manufactured in China under strict quality standards, and we’ve met our trusted supplier and their team in person - building real relationships and ensuring every detail meets the standards we’d expect for our own families.
The artwork on our bib sleeves is hand-drawn by a wonderful Sydney artist, so each bib is a little piece of love from start to finish.
Do you support any charities or organisations?
Yes. 25% of proceeds from the Butterfly Garden Bib go to Red Nose Australia, an organisation that supports families who have experienced the loss of a baby and funds research into pregnancy and infant loss.
